The Datapaq Kiln
Tracker Telemetry System allows you to see in real time what happens to
your product during the firing process.
Thermocouples, placed
within the ware, feed temperature information back to the Data Logger
which sits directly beneath the kiln car. Protected from the high temperatures
beneath the car by a specially engineered Thermal Barrier, the Data Logger
transmits the temperature information via Radio Frequency (RF) back to
the PC. To ensure the integrity of the data, it is also stored on the
Logger at the same time as it is transmitted. The Datapaq Telemetry System
uses advanced radio data transmission technology to send and receive information
which makes it ideal to use in most tunnel kilns.
Kiln Tracker Telemetry
benefits:
- Adjust kiln settings
on problem ware while the batch is still in the tunnel kiln.
- See precisely what
is happening to the product during the firing process.
- Have instant access
to data, vital for quick problem solving.
- Assess the effects
of changes to kiln settings as the process progresses.
- Ideal for development
of thermal profiles for new products.
- Compare actual
product temperatures to specification during the process.
- Optimize cycle
times.
System features
- Fits most existing
Phased Evaporation Kiln Tracker Thermal Barriers - so easy to retrofit.
- Logger and transmitter
able to operate at high ambient temperatures (up to 110°C/230°F)
with signal drift compensation.
- Two types of transmitting
antenna to suit thermal barrier loading position.
- High performance
portable receiver antenna allows positioning for maximum signal strength.
- UGEF array receiver
kit also available for permanent siting along the side of the kiln.
- Signal strength
meter built into receiver to give visual indication of best reception.
- Data integrity
assured by storage on the logger as well as transmission to PC
- Operates with Kiln Tracker Insight software
A trial is recommended
to ensure optimum operating conditions.
