Temperature profiling in the automotive and coating industries
December 17, 2013

Cambridge, UK – For reliable temperature measurement, monitoring, and analysis, Datapaq supplies complete systems consisting of industry-specific software, a data logger with a thermal barrier, and thermocouples. The coating and automotive industries can choose between dedicated package solutions, a configured solution tailored to the specific application, and customization. The Oven Tracker XL2 system is suitable for all typical production steps in car painting (e-coating, PVC sealants/adhesives, primer surface, top/clear coat, repair).

The Oven Tracker XL2 generates comprehensive temperature profiles and certified reports

The logger can record up to ten consecutive profiles. At the oven exit, a green or red LED shows whether the programmed process criteria have been met. At the end of a measurement run, the temperature profiles are read out by a PC for detailed analysis with the Insight software. The option of radio transmission of data to a connected PC enables live monitoring. The exact data help ensure product quality and optimize process parameters. Thereby, the reject rate and rework can be reduced, just like the energy costs. Users can create certified profile reports compliant with Qualicoat, ISO9000, CQI-12 as PDF files.
At the PaintExpo exhibition on 8-11 April 2014 in Karlsruhe, Germany, Datapaq (Hall 1, Stand 1449) will showcase measurement solutions for industrial coating processes.
