SolarPaq System for Contact Firing

The Datapaq® SolarPaq temperature profiling system for the contact firing process has been comprehensively redesigned to reduce its size and improve ease-of-use with the new cell probe clamp. The cell is slotted into the carrier and the specially designed thermocouples are then slid into position, as required. This approach ensures accurate, repeatable results - the foundation of any process optimization program.

This newly designed software has been created specifically for use within the PV solar industry and contains many process-specific analysis displays. Datapaq offers a range of data loggers and thermal barriers with various height and width options that ensure compatibility with all furnace designs with or without stand-off supports.

This system offers a choice of thermal barriers designed to withstand the harsh thermal and electrical environments. Built with a stainless steel outer case and microporous ceramic insulation interior, these barriers can be used time and time again for both process set-up and regular monitoring.

The Datapaq system can be used with ultrafine 0.5mm (0.0197") diameter mineral insulated probes - PA1571/2, as has been standard industry practice.  However, difficulties in attaching these probes repeatedly to the cell can be mitigated by using the PA2100 Cell Clamp, designed to be used with either 156mm (6.15") or 125mm (4.93") cells. The PA2100 holds the cell securely and allows the associated custom-designed, fine wire foil probes to easily slide into place, as required.
